Chief John Okorie has commended the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) for its continued efforts to reach out to young entrepreneurs across Africa and create opportunities for the next generation of business leaders.

According to Chief John Okorie, the Foundation’s entrepreneurship initiatives demonstrate the importance of investing in young Africans with innovative ideas, determination and the desire to build sustainable businesses. He noted that providing entrepreneurs with access to funding, mentorship, training and business networks can help transform promising ideas into viable enterprises.

He further emphasized that African youths possess enormous entrepreneurial potential and should be given the necessary platforms and support to turn their creativity into economic opportunities. He described entrepreneurship development as an important pathway toward job creation, innovation and inclusive economic growth across the continent.

Chief John Okorie also encouraged young entrepreneurs to take advantage of legitimate opportunities provided by organizations such as the Tony Elumelu Foundation, while developing the discipline, resilience and professionalism required to build businesses that can create lasting value.

He said the impact of supporting one entrepreneur can extend beyond an individual, as successful businesses can create employment, support families, strengthen communities and contribute to the wider African economy.

He therefore praised the Foundation for its commitment to empowering young entrepreneurs and urged other private-sector organizations, governments and philanthropists to continue investing in Africa’s emerging business leaders.

“Supporting young entrepreneurs means investing in the future of Africa,” Chief John Okorie said, stressing the need for greater collaboration in building an environment where African entrepreneurs can thrive.
