The Executive Council of the Isoko Youth Assembly (IYA) Worldwide, led by its President, Prince Matthew Olomu, paid a courtesy visit to Sir Bldr. Blessing Obomovo, M.Sc, FNIOB, at his country home in Isoko, in a meeting marked by warmth, unity, and forward-looking dialogue.
In his reception address, Sir Obomovo admonished the leadership of IYA to remain worthy ambassadors of Isoko Nation wherever they find themselves, emphasizing that their actions and conduct invariably reflect on the collective image and integrity of the Isoko people. He urged the youth body to uphold discipline, unity, and visionary leadership in advancing the cause of the nation.
Speaking on behalf of the Assembly, IYA Worldwide President, Prince Matthew Olomu, applauded Sir Obomovo for his steadfast commitment to Isoko’s progress and development. He reaffirmed that the Isoko Youth Assembly stands ready to collaborate with leaders who genuinely carry the burdens and aspirations of Isoko Nation and its youths at heart.
The President stressed that Isoko Nation is in urgent need of purposeful, people-oriented governance driven by sincere ambition, particularly in critical sectors such as electricity, healthcare, education, and the execution of standard road projects from award to completion. He reiterated concerns over unfinished projects, including the Ofagbe Technical College, and called for renewed commitment to completing legacy projects that directly impact the future of Isoko youths.
Prince Olomu further emphasized the need for increased basic infrastructure from both the State and Federal Governments, noting that despite Isoko Nation’s immense contributions to the economic prosperity of Nigeria, the area has suffered prolonged marginalization.
He concluded with a passionate call:
“Isoko Nation remains a proud and productive pillar of Nigeria’s economy. It is time for deliberate and inclusive development that reflects our contributions and secures a prosperous future for our youths and generations unborn.”
The visit reaffirmed IYA Worldwide’s commitment to constructive engagement, strategic partnerships, and sustained advocacy for equitable development across Isoko land.
