World Tuberculosis Day, observed annually on 24 March, aims to raise public awareness about the global tuberculosis epidemic and efforts to eradicate the disease. In 2018, 10 million people fell ill with TB, and 1.5 million died from the disease, mostly in low and middle-income countries.

Chief John Okorie has joined prominent personalities to celebrate World TB Day, saying that life has many people who think Tuberculosis day to see as a death sentence but God will continue to heal those affected.
