Ramadan – Day 2: He Is Near
“And when My servants ask you concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the call of the supplicant when he calls upon Me.”
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:186)
On this second day of Ramadan, we are reminded of one of the most comforting promises from Allah — that He is near. Not distant. Not unreachable. Not unaware. He is near to our whispered prayers, our silent tears, our hidden struggles, and our sincere hopes.
Ramadan is a sacred invitation to return to realign our hearts, purify our intentions, and strengthen our connection with our Creator. The verse assures us that whenever we call upon Him with sincerity, He responds. That response may come as relief, patience, guidance, or unseen protection but it always comes with wisdom.
As we continue this blessed journey of fasting and reflection, may we call upon Him more often, trust Him more deeply, and surrender to Him more completely. Let our prayers be consistent, our hearts be humble, and our faith be renewed.
May Allah accept our fast, forgive our shortcomings, and draw us closer to Him in this sacred month.
