“Our party needs candidates who can win elections for the party not unpopular candidates who will rely solely on the popularity of the President and Governor to secure victory.”- Ikpokpo.

Former Director-General of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and Delta South Senatorial aspirant, Sir Itiako Malik Ikpokpo, KSM, has continued his consultation tour with a visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) executives in Burutu Local Government Area, alongside principal officers of the eleven wards in the local government.

Addressing the party executives, Ikpokpo said:

“I have come to present myself to you, to consult and engage , not to order or summon you.
I assure you that I am ready and determined to roll up my sleeves if given the opportunity to represent Delta South in the Senate from my very first day in office.

I will establish clear and open lines of communication with our people , I will focus on legislations that addresses the critical needs of our region, and through consistent engagement and dialogue, I will work to foster unity across Delta South.

Importantly, I will empower a good number of our people and create opportunities for growth and development.

Our dear party needs candidates who can win elections for the party , candidates with the capacity, reach, and acceptance of the people not those who depend solely on the popularity of the President and Governor.

I stand before you as that candidate. I have the goodwill, the grassroots connection, and the broad support needed to secure victory for our party at all levels.

I solemnly pledge to faithfully implement my CLUE agenda—Communicate, Legislate, Unite, and Empower. I promise not to let you down.”

In their response, the Burutu APC executives commended Sir Ikpokpo for personally visiting and consulting with party leadership at both the local government and ward levels, describing his approach as respectful, inclusive, and commendable.
