The Chief Executive Officer of M7 Petroleum Services Nigeria Limited and M7 Autogas Limited, Chief John Okorie, has joined entrepreneurs across Nigeria in celebrating the International Day of Women in Diplomacy 2026, commending women for their remarkable contributions to national development and global progress.
Speaking with Imagemarker News and Gabrio Newspaper, Chief Okorie stated that women have continued to play significant roles across various professions and sectors of society.
According to him, “Women have continued to play significant roles in all careers. We need to appreciate their great works for humanity, education, science and technology, skills development, leadership development, and family life.”
He emphasized that women have consistently demonstrated excellence in leadership, innovation, diplomacy, and community development, making invaluable contributions to the growth of society.
The International Day of Women in Diplomacy is observed annually on June 24. The day was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2022 to recognize the critical contributions of women in shaping foreign policy, peace negotiations, and international relations, while promoting gender equality and greater representation of women in leadership and diplomatic positions worldwide.
Chief Okorie urged governments, institutions, and private organizations to continue creating opportunities that empower women and enhance their participation in decision-making processes at all levels.
He further noted that celebrating women in diplomacy serves as a reminder of the importance of inclusion, diversity, and equal representation in building peaceful and prosperous societies.
