Chief John Okorie has joined millions of people around the world to commemorate the International Day of Charity, a day dedicated to promoting compassion, generosity, humanitarian service and support for people and communities in need.

In his message marking the occasion, Chief John Okorie emphasized that charity goes beyond giving material resources. According to him, true charity is about touching lives, restoring hope, empowering people and creating opportunities for those who may be disadvantaged or vulnerable.

He called on individuals, businesses, corporate organizations, government institutions and community leaders to embrace a stronger culture of giving and social responsibility, stressing that even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

Chief Okorie further noted that society becomes stronger when people look beyond personal interests and contribute to the wellbeing of others. He encouraged Nigerians, particularly the younger generation, to develop the spirit of volunteerism, compassion and community service.

He also praised individuals and organizations that continue to support humanitarian causes, education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, youth empowerment and other initiatives aimed at improving lives.

As the world celebrates the International Day of Charity, Chief John Okorie urged everyone to remember that the greatest measure of success is not only what we achieve for ourselves, but also the positive impact we make in the lives of others.

He reaffirmed his commitment to promoting humanity, unity and meaningful impact, while encouraging everyone to make kindness and generosity a daily responsibility rather than an occasional gesture.
