When it comes to Delta politics, the Ijaws in Delta State are playing National politics more than the Isoko Nation.

They spread their political dreams beyond one political party, in case future politics speaks a different language.

Once someone belongs to another political party outside the APC, it is the PDP style of politics in Delta State, then.

Tompolo controls the Delta South with a national politics mindset, sponsoring rallies in different states in Nigeria. Why won’t an Ijaw man emerge as a minister at the national level?

Senator Dickson is using the NDC to play national politics that involves all tribes in Nigeria.

I saw a post from someone in Isoko that showed that anyone contesting under another party outside the APC is anti-party.

If you guys keep playing 5/5 politics, the highest positions for Isoko people will be SA, SSA, and commissioner, and nothing else.

We must think beyond state politics and create a unique National party that represents the large interests of Nigerians, not just Delta State.

What are we afraid of, self? This present state leadership won’t leave his brother or sister to recommend an Isoko person for minister.

We have a very low media patronage system in Isokoland. You can see how Ijaws are using their own media platforms to push their stories to the national level. Isoko politicians hardly patronize their own media but prefer social media posts.

We prefer to use national dailies to push stories, but playing state politics of SSA and commissioners.

Let us vote our conscience, not a political party; if the so-called ruling political party fails tomorrow, that means Isoko politicians must start again, while the Ijaws have different political alternatives to survive.

In one political event, you see all the major Isoko political leaders there; it is very risky. This shows that all our contacts and businesses depend on this state politics.

As politicians, let our businesses spread outside Delta State so that state leadership can’t influence them or threaten us to submit to 5/5.

Taking pictures with the President is not a sign of political influence. What I see among some Isoko politicians, we are just protecting our contracts and appointments and nothing more.

Anybody contesting outside the APC in Isokoland should not be seen as an enemy or anti-party; we should be allowed to make our choices.
