The Team Legit Movement (TLM) has been officially inaugurated in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency, Lagos, with its Founder, Emenike Victory Nnaka, popularly known as Emenice, declaring that the movement is committed to promoting legitimate leadership, meaningful service, youth participation and sustainable grassroots development.

The inauguration, which attracted royal fathers, community leaders, youth and women leaders, distinguished guests, volunteers and members of the press, marked what the founder described as the beginning of a new chapter in grassroots engagement and community-oriented leadership.

Addressing the gathering, Nnaka said the occasion was more than an ordinary gathering, describing it as a historic moment for the people of Ajeromi-Ifelodun.

According to him, Team Legit Movement was established in response to the need for leadership that is honest, accessible, responsible, compassionate, and genuinely committed to improving the lives of ordinary citizens.

He explained that the movement was built around three fundamental pillars: Legit Leadership, True Service and a Better Ajeromi-Ifelodun.

“We Are Here for the Politics of Impact”

The TLM Founder stressed that the movement would not be driven by unnecessary noise, empty promises or distractions, but by practical initiatives capable of producing measurable impact within communities.

“We are not here for the politics of noise, empty promises, or unnecessary distractions. We are here for the politics of impact,” he declared.

Nnaka maintained that leadership should not be measured merely by titles or political positions, but by the positive contributions leaders make to society and the number of lives they are able to touch.

He said Team Legit Movement would work towards becoming a strong voice for young people, a source of strength for women and a platform of hope for families across Ajeromi-Ifelodun.

Focus on Youth, Women and Community Development

The founder identified health, education, youth empowerment, women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, community development, infrastructure and other social-impact initiatives as areas the movement intends to focus on.

He called on young people in the constituency to take ownership of their future, stressing that the energy, creativity, skills and ideas of youths are essential to the development of the constituency.

Nnaka also recognized the contributions of women to the growth of families and communities, promising that the movement would support initiatives that could create opportunities for women to thrive, grow businesses and contribute more effectively to grassroots development.

He equally appealed to traditional rulers, elders and community leaders to provide wisdom, guidance and experience as the movement continues to expand its activities.

“Team Legit Movement Belongs to the People”

One of the major highlights of the founder’s address was his declaration that TLM was not established as a personal platform but as a collective movement belonging to the people.

“This movement does not belong to me alone. This movement belongs to YOU,” he stated.

He emphasized that every ward, street, community, young person, woman, and family matters in the development agenda of the movement.

According to him, Team Legit Movement is designed to provide an avenue for citizens to participate, contribute ideas, volunteer, and work collectively towards improving their communities.

Founder Charges Volunteers to Remain Committed

Nnaka described volunteers as the engine of the movement and community leaders as its foundation, while identifying youth leaders as the energy and future of TLM.

He urged members and supporters to embrace honesty, discipline, courage, and a genuine spirit of service.

He further called on residents of Ajeromi-Ifelodun to join hands with the movement and contribute towards building a stronger and better constituency.

A New Grassroots Movement

The inauguration of Team Legit Movement signals the emergence of another organized grassroots platform seeking to connect community participation with leadership, empowerment and development.

As the movement begins its activities, expectations will be high for its leadership to translate its stated ideals into practical programmes and initiatives that can positively affect residents.

Concluding his address, Emenike Victory Nnaka acknowledged that the journey would come with challenges and obstacles but assured members that the movement would remain focused and determined.

He thanked the royal fathers, distinguished guests, community leaders, volunteers, youth and women leaders, members of the press and residents for identifying with the inauguration.

He ended with a defining message that captures the philosophy of the organization:

“When leadership is Legit, the people win.”
