Hon. Francis Bartholomew Omowale Chima, popularly known as Omobarca, has expressed strong support for the Team Legit Movement, describing the group as a movement driven by a big vision to bring a new dimension to politics, leadership and grassroots development in Ajegunle.
Speaking on the growing activities of Team Legit Movement, Omobarca said the group represents a commitment to legitimate leadership, meaningful service and positive development within the community.
According to him, his commitment to humanity and grassroots development should be judged by his documented activities and contributions to the people rather than by accusations or name-calling.
“They have called me a ritualist, even though they claim Ajegunle. How many people have they helped out of poverty? My record of humanity is seen in Ajegunle and beyond.”
Omobarca maintained that Team Legit Movement has a broad vision for the political future of Ajegunle and is focused on building a platform where responsible leadership, service and community development can receive greater attention.
He also reflected on his previous political experiences, acknowledging that he encountered setbacks while participating in other political parties. However, he said those experiences have strengthened his determination to contribute meaningfully to the political process.
“I had a setback in previous political parties. Today, the NDC has given us a platform to exhibit our leadership capacity.”
Omobarca further called on members and supporters of the NDC to take their civic responsibilities seriously ahead of the 2027 elections, particularly by ensuring that they obtain or update their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) where necessary and remain properly registered.
He emphasized that political participation goes beyond speeches, meetings and social-media activities, noting that voters must be prepared to participate through the constitutional electoral process.
The Team Legit Movement, according to Omobarca, is ultimately about building a stronger grassroots political culture in Ajegunle—one that places emphasis on service, participation, accountability and the welfare of the people.
As political activities gradually intensify ahead of 2027, Omobarca’s message highlights the importance of grassroots organization and voter participation, while Team Legit Movement continues to position itself around its stated vision of promoting legitimate leadership and meaningful community development.
