Chief John Okorie has joined family, friends, and well-wishers around the world in celebrating Pastor E.A. Adeboye and Pastor (Mrs.) Foluke Adeboye on the remarkable occasion of their 59th wedding anniversary.
Celebrating their decades-long journey together, Chief John Okorie described their marriage as a powerful example of love, commitment, patience, sacrifice, faith, understanding, and mutual support.
According to him, young people have much to learn from the Adeboyes’ enduring union, particularly at a time when many relationships struggle to withstand challenges and pressures.
He emphasized that a successful marriage is not built on perfection, wealth, or the absence of difficulties, but on the willingness of two people to grow together, forgive one another, communicate effectively, remain committed, and support each other through different seasons of life.
Chief John Okorie encouraged young Nigerians to study the values that have sustained the Adeboyes’ marriage and apply them to their own relationships. He noted that lasting marriages require responsibility, maturity, respect, sacrifice, and genuine friendship between partners.
He further congratulated Daddy and Mummy Adeboye for reaching 59 years together and prayed for continued strength, good health, peace, grace, and many more years of impactful partnership.
“We young people need to learn from their marriage. Their journey reminds us that true love is not only about starting together, but about choosing each other, standing together, and growing together through the years,” Chief John Okorie said.
As they mark this extraordinary milestone, the Adeboyes’ 59-year marriage continues to inspire families, young couples, and generations seeking to build relationships founded on enduring values.
