PASTOR W.F. KUMUYI RECEIVES RECOGNITION FROM WORLD BOOK OF RECORDS, LONDON
Chief John Okorie has joined Christian leaders, family, friends and well-wishers in celebrating the renowned cleric, Pastor Dr. W.F. Kumuyi, following his recognition by the World Book of Records, London, for the remarkable impact of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry and the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK).
The recognition, conveyed through an Inclusion Letter from the World Book of Records, London, highlights the growing global reach and influence of the ministry and its evangelistic activities through the years.
Reflecting on the honour, Pastor Kumuyi reportedly took his thoughts back to the humble beginnings of the ministry in 1973, when he started with a simple gathering of 15 university students who were deeply committed to studying and living by the Word of God.
According to the Pastor, the recognition should not be viewed merely as a personal achievement, but as a testimony to the expanding work of the Great Commission and the collective efforts of believers committed to spreading the Gospel.
He noted that through the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), the ministry has, over the past five years, reached more than 50 million people, while more than 900,000 people have reportedly made decisions to accept Christ and commit themselves to Him.
Pastor Kumuyi emphasized that the honour belongs ultimately to God and should not be attributed to him or his family. Rather, he described it as an opportunity to encourage Christians around the world to remain committed to the service of God and to continue making a positive spiritual impact in their communities.
“While I am humbled by this recognition, my focus has never been on human accolades, certificates, or titles. The ultimate ledger that matters is the Book of Life,” he said.
He further stated: “We take no glory for what God has done. We lay every honor down at the feet of the Master. All glory, honor, and adoration belong to the Lord alone.”
Celebrating the development, Chief John Okorie described Pastor Kumuyi as a distinguished servant of God whose decades of commitment to Christian ministry, teaching, evangelism and leadership have continued to attract global attention.
Chief Okorie congratulated Pastor Kumuyi and the entire Deeper Christian Life Ministry family, noting that the recognition represents another significant moment in the long history of the ministry’s evangelistic work.
He also commended the vision behind the Global Crusade with Kumuyi, particularly its efforts to use modern communication platforms to reach people across different nations and generations with the Christian message.
The recognition has further drawn attention to Pastor Kumuyi’s decades-long journey in ministry and the continuing global activities of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry.
For Chief John Okorie, celebrating Pastor Kumuyi is not simply about celebrating an award or recognition, but acknowledging a life of dedication, discipline, service and commitment to a cause that has impacted many lives.
