Chief John Okorie, popularly known as M7 Boss, has commended the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, for his compassionate intervention and reported N20 million support to a young entrepreneur whose shop was recently robbed.
According to Chief John Okorie, the gesture demonstrates the importance of responsive leadership and the need for government to support citizens, particularly young people who are working hard to build their businesses and create sustainable livelihoods.
He described Governor Adeleke’s intervention as a significant encouragement to the young man, noting that losing a business to robbery can be devastating, especially for an entrepreneur who has invested personal resources, time and energy into building the business.
Chief John Okorie further stated that beyond the financial value of the assistance, the gesture sends a powerful message that people facing difficult circumstances should not be abandoned. He encouraged other public-spirited individuals, corporate organisations and leaders to emulate initiatives that provide practical support to citizens in times of need.
He also emphasized the importance of strengthening security measures to protect businesses and livelihoods, while urging young entrepreneurs not to give up in the face of setbacks.
“Leadership is not only about occupying an office; it is also about showing concern when citizens are going through difficult moments,” Chief John Okorie said, while appreciating Governor Adeleke for responding to the situation.
He expressed hope that the support would help the young man rebuild his business, regain confidence and continue pursuing his entrepreneurial dreams.
Chief John Okorie concluded by calling for a society where compassion, responsible leadership, security and empowerment work together to create opportunities for young Nigerians.
